Do I need to take progestin with Divigel®?

That depends.
  • If you have not had a hysterectomy (and your uterus is intact), then the answer is probably yes. That’s because taking estrogen alone may increase the chance of cancer of the uterus (also known as uterine or endometrial cancer). Taking progestin helps reduce this risk. Your healthcare professional can help you make the right decisions and recommend the appropriate dose of progestin.
